The Client

Agway is a distributor of agricultural products located in Westfield, MA. The Agway Dealer Network works with hundreds of dealers and stores around the country to market and distribute.

The Challenge

Agway presented us with several potential web design and development projects. We worked closely with them to scope and define the development process, deadlines, and goals.

The Result

First, we worked with Agway to create an online product catalog. We integrated with their inventory system to display thousands of products, which are updated automatically on a regular basis.

Most recently, we collaborated to develop an online dealer ordering system. We stylized the system to correspond with the look and feel of Agway’s parent company, Southern States Cooperative.

Using Ruby on Rails, we incorporated thousands of SKU’s (stock keeping units) into an ordering system. Dealers can order within pre-defined parameters, which Agway can manage through a Content Management System (CMS). This administration allows Agway to manage SKU’s, promotions, and users. We also developed multiple reporting features so Agway can pull and analyze information with a click of a button, at any time.

Agway dealers now have a convenient, online ordering system. This saves both Agway and their dealers time and money.
